Watchet-Gro® Healthy Pastures #5

Healthy Pastures  No. 5 has been developed to address a group of nutrient deficiencies commonly found in both pastures and livestock. This group of nutrients are commonly deficient in acid, sandy soils subject to leaching or highly alkaline soils. This product acts to improve pasture growth rates and nutrient content, and also as a source of nutrient for direct ingestion by livestock.

Copper is also necessary for chlorophyll formation and is involved in a number of other plant reactions. Plants with adequate levels of copper are also less susceptible to fungal attack to to the improved strength of their cell walls.

Cobalt is essential for the growth of nodule bacteria of legumes, and  is important in animals for the synthesis of vitamin B12.

Selenium has yet to be shown to have a function in the development or growth of plants, but has been shown to have significant impacts on animal production including the prevention of white muscle disease, improved wool production and animal growth rates.

Boron and Molybdenum have been shown to be highly important in the function of rhizobia of legumes, but also has important functions in other plant groups. Deficiency symptoms often appear as Nitrogen deficiency due to the impairment of the Rhizobia functionality.
